I love taking visitors to the top of Mt Palomar to the Observatory. It's unique and fun! The views on the drive up are spectacular. You might get to play in the snow in the winter!
This is 23 miles away, about a 45 ish min drive, but If you have not been here yet, this is amazing to see. Schedule the tour if can too. Check out the website and it is totally worth the drive. Pack a picnic.

I always take friends here, pulling in there are tons of varieties of lavender growing. there is a meditation garden, cute shop, little cafe in season, workshops, with so much more. It's really pretty and unique and a great place for photos. A definite must. They always have special events, so check their calendar.”
