Great entertainment for families. Kids love to pan for treasures.

This is a bit of a drive for just a day; however, it is well worth it. At the mine, you can purchase a bucket of gravel dug directly from the mine, and pan for sapphires. You get to keep any that you find. We have always come away with 5-10 small sapphires.

A tourist must do! You will leave with a bunch of sapphires. Maybe even some you can get made into jewelry!
