Looking for a great burger. This is the burger joint you want to go to. It’s a diner, plain and simple. Darrell Fries (spicy potato wedges) and milkshakes are renowned.
One of my favourite convenient food stops. Between Thanksgiving and New Year’s they have a holiday wrap I can’t get enough of. They are also know for their peanut butter burger.
The Coast rates Darrell's best burger place. Their peanut butter burger is well loved. A favorite among locals.
“Good for the essential items you'll need if staying longer than a few nights (grocery type food items). If you happen to catch this store on a BOGO then you're lovin life ;)”
“German-style bakery with strong coffee, pastries, fresh bread and assorted sit down lunch items.”
“Where to get liquor? The Nova Scotia Liquor Corporation controls sales of alcoholic beverages. This closes at 10pm (Mon-Saturday) and 5pm on Sundays. ”
“Scones are to die for! Every morning they bake sweet and savoury scones. The Fog Burner coffee is also a big local hit.”
“Boneheads has the best BBQ brisket north of Texas, pure and simple! The sausage is more of a Kansas City style, but not bad. I recommend getting a combo plate, but you can also ask for a pound of brisket and a link of sausage to take home. Also grab a side each of potato salad and coleslaw, and don't forget the sauces! The above will set you back about $50 but will be well worth it. ”
