Our favorite restaurant in San Diego. Yes, it's a chain, but their dumplings are amazing. Big plus: this restaurant is located in a beautiful outdoor mall, so you can stroll around after joining the waiting list (wait times can be up to 2 hours at times. Tip: try the bar if you don't wanna wait).

This famous Taiwanese chain is just minutes away! The korubata pork xiao long bao (soup dumplings) are a must-have. The braised beef soup is a traditional Taiwanese soup that comforts the soul. If you’re feeling adventurous, we recommend the wood-ear mushroom in vinegar dressing appetizer. For dessert, try the chocolate and Michi xiao long bao or the chocolate buns. Can’t go wrong with anything here! Just be prepared for a bit of a wait.
