An exquisite formal dining venue founded in 1757, Ristorante Del Cambio is a Turin gastronomic landmark that counts Mozart, Verdi and Casanova among its guests. For something truly special, take the elaborate six-course tasting menu (€135 a head). If that’s not your speed, there is also a light lunch and à la carte menu to choose from. All of the menus celebrate traditional Piedmont cuisine. The restaurant space is wonderfully atmospheric: the grand, mirrored dining hall is beautiful and romantic, and then there is a vaulted, contemporary room adorned with dramatic, mural-like paintings by Arte Povera master, Pistoletto.

Piace pensare al Ristorante Del Cambio come ad una location "senza tempo". Questo perché dal 5 ottobre 1757 si rinnova ciclicamente rimanendo sempre fedele a se stesso: Del Cambio è un luogo di culto, storicamente frequentato dagli amanti del bello e della buona tavola. Riconosciuto come l'emblema della cultura torinese, dai suoi saloni, negli anni tra il 1821 ed il 1861, sono passati gli uomini e le donne che hanno fatto la storia d'Italia e non solo. Ai suoi tavoli per almeno tre secoli sono tutti i nuovi contributi alla Politica, alla Letteratura, al Teatro, alla Musica, alla Scienza, alla Filosofia, all'Amore ed all'Arte. Cavour è stato un habitué, Casanova, Puccini, Balzac, Nietzsche..
