This is a proper London boozer. Inside its corner facade, it has really dark walls, 100 years of smoke in the carpet, an old till that makes a “ping” noise. The guy behind the bar is always kind of surly. They won’t give you a glass of water, and there’s no food, but it’s got a great atmosphere and really good live music. It’s cash only, so bring your reddies, as the ATM is a long walk away.
Classic East London Bar. Take cash - no fancy tills here - and enjoy a cheap knees up in a very old fashioned bar. There is live music most nights & it's a great place for celebrations with locals and friends!
The Palm Tree is an 'East End' institution. The building stands alone in a park alongside the canal as all of its neighbouring houses were bombed in the Blitz... or so legend has it. Come here to get the true Cockney experience at the weekend.
People sit all round this freestanding pub, and listen to live jazz in the lounge at weekends.
A local drinking institution that retains its traditional decor - a proper East End boozer with plenty of character in Millennium Park.
“Beautiful traditional pub with a grand location beside London's oldest public park. It’s a nice place for a pint in the summer with its great views and ample outdoor seating.”
“Set in Mile End Park, the ecology pavilion is surrounded by little marshes, trees and wildflowers. Mile End Park itself is a gorgeous park to walk through, with varied areas including wooded walks and open playing fields.”
“This two-floored pub has a great beer garden, outdoor terraces and a quirky, vintage-inspired styling”
“I can never resist a cold pint and a gourmet pizza from their wood burning oven! Amazing lunch deals. Situated at the roundabout, it's a great place to chill out and watch the world go by. ”
