In the summer BBQ evenings and unwind in a fort in the winter. Totally unexpected , along the Vecht, is a fortress , rustic and cozy ambience. An old Fort next to river the Vecht, now turned into restaurant. Nice in summer to sit outside and have a coffee on the terrace, or in the winter to have a drink or dinner in a castle-like ambiance

Restaurant, sightseeing, camping. Fort aan de Klop has it all. Slightly of the beaten track, but worth a visit

Around Utrecht you can find a lot of forts. Fort aan de Klop is one of them. It's a nice bike trip along the river Vecht.

Old fortification in the line of defence. Now you can enjoy a drink in the sun, a great BBQ and even stay the night. Nice placwe to go on a bike tour from Utrecht following the river up.
