On the waterfront in Rockland, looking out over Rockland Harbor with views out to Vinalhaven: The island I moved to from Philadelphia and where my kids and grandchildren live. You may even eat a lobster my son caught.

Don't leave Downeast Maine without visiting Archers in Rockland Maine. Owner and Chef Lynn Archer won the "thrown down with Bobby Flay" competition. Lynn learned most of her cooking and work ethic knowledge in her grandmothers kitchen. The menu is extensive, and full of delicious seafood entrees, made from fresh seafood daily. Experience outdoor dining on the large deck overlooking the beautiful Rockland Harbor.
