Wallingford: MUST GO- Drive here or take the #44 Eastbound bus towards the University District (catch at Fremont Ave & 46th St): Our most famous, iconic burger joint in Seattle. It's been the same simple, delicious menu with similarly low prices since it started in 1954. Everyone goes here & there is a reason Macklemore sings about Dick's, did a music video there, and throws Dick's hamburgers into his concert crowds - they are the best. Order at the counter and take it to go - no seating there. Lines build up until the wee hours but they always move fast as this is the most efficiently run place I've ever seen. Ownership cares about their employees paying them well, offering college scholarships, etc. which is why most people you see working at that window is a UW college student! A wonderful, Seattle spot. (burgers are small so if you are hungry, order a few! I love the "Special" & the "Deluxe" but they do have their tarter-style sauce on them which you may or may not like. Get kids a burger or cheeseburger.)

Oldest burger joint in Seattle! Place is always quick, even though it's always packed! So good. Get a Deluxe and fries.
