This is a local restaurant with a casual atmosphere, decorated with furniture of 50's and 60's. It is just on the other side of the train station (through an underground passageway). The menu is short but meals are good and not so heavy as the majority in Portugal. You can try an octopus here. Remember to make a reservation for dinner. It happens it is full. The restaurant opens for lunch at 12:30 p.m. and closes at 15:00 p.m., for dinner 19:30 - 23:00 p.m. Sundays and Mondays it is closed. After a dinner you can go for a life concert or play bilard and have beer at pub in the SMUP - local cultural centre (the same building).

Run by a friend of ours. Traditional food a bit more refined than in your local "tasca". Good selection of Portuguese wines and nicely located next to the local music society and Parque Morais.
