The hills are alive

A unique adventure, climbing the three main hills of Athens! First we climb to Athens' tallest peak, Mt. Lycabettus. Standing a 271 metres (908ft.) altitude, for the most breathtaking 360* views of Athens! We then continue onto Philopappou and Mars Hills, which also offer unique views of the city from a different perspective. In between each hill we do walk past some of the major landmarks of Athens and take photo stops along the way. It is the perfect combination of adventure, sightseeing and endless photo opportunities! A good level of fitness is required, although the walk does get much easier after we finish with Lykavittos Hill.

Athens walk and wine tasting

First, as Athenians do, we will meet in Monastiraki Square in the city center. We'll grab a coffee and do a "volta" -- a leisurely walk through the city to give you a taste of what it's like to be a local! The walk will take about 1,5 hours. During it, I'll share with you my love for Athens -- the hidden paths, beautiful backstreets and hills, its living history, and some personal stories as well. I'll give you a glimpse of the modern Athenian lifestyle, where we hang out, where we eat, and most importantly where we cut loose. We'll end the "volta" at one of the best wine bars in Athens. There, we'll spend 1,5 hours more, and during that time we will do a brief introduction to Greek wine culture, as well as a short master class about wine tasting and food pairing. We'll taste four indigenous grape varieties, combined with a salad, cold cuts, and an assortment of Greek cheeses. This experience will give you a personal view of the city and its citizens and will introduce you to the art and science of tasting wine.

Welcome to Athens! We will meet at electricityrides, get to know each other, talk about the route, show you the e-bikes and get ready for our exciting night ride. Starting from the city center, we will visit the Athens Trilogy, the old Library, the University and the Academy of Athens. After passing by Kolonaki, the “upper” part of the city, we will be on time at Syntagma square to watch the famous change of the guards ceremony. Then we will head towards Zappeion Hall and the Panathenaic stadium where the first modern Olympics took place. Next is the temple of Zeus and Plaka. Around Acropolis and a stop at Areopagus Hill to see the city from above. We ride around Acropolis to Plaka, the Roman Agora, Monastiraki and finally the lively streets of Psyrri. Our ride will end with a special treat at our office! A 3 hours ride that will probably make you stay up until late night! Our guided rides are not official tours. Entrance to the sights is not included.

Athens Historical Center by Bike

Join this bike tour if you are looking for an exciting and entertaining way to discover Athens city. We will explore not only the history but also the most iconic neighborhoods in the centre of Athens. A short journey through the history to the modern times and the current culture of the city. As a local, I will share my knowledge about Athens. From the worldfamous ancient sights to hidden spots, today's culture and lifestyle. I operate small groups of maximum 10 people to provide a more personalized experience. Starting our ride from Flat Tyres shop, we will see the Cemetery of Kerameikos. We will 'get lost' through the iconic districts of Psiri and Monastiraki and discover Athens oldest fish and meat market. Cycling around the hill of Acropolis, we will see the Roman Agora, Greek Ancient Agora and the unique district of Plaka. Next up, we will see the Greek Parliament and Evzones guards. A short ride through the National Gardens will bring us to Zappeion Hall and the iconic Panathenaic Stadium. Temple of Zeus and Hadrian Arch come next. It's time to cycle the Historical Walking of Athens, right under Acropolis. A couple minutes of walking will bring us to a spot of breathetaking panoramic view of Athens. Cycling the rest of the Historical Walking we will cycle back to 'Flat Tyres' shop where the tour ends.

Bike touring in Athens with photoes and three electric ones

Tour in Athens with regular and 3 electric veichicles (extra charge included for the electric ones) and photos with a semi professional camera (dslr) (Nikon D3300). We will stop in many places for sightseeing and some water, drinks and snacks. The routes will be easy without much height differencial and mostly in pedestrian areas without having to deal with traffic from cars and motorcycles. In particular we will use the pedestrian areas around acropolis and the historical center. Also there is space to leave your language if needed during the tour. Also in case you have seen or you don t want to make the usual tour around Acropolis and see the historic center of Athens we can arrange a different tour to the Riviera of Athens through the biggest bike lane in order to reach the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (National Opera, National Library and a big nice Rooftop Park with nice views to the sea and the city.
