Recapture your creativity and immerse yourself in 22-acres of rainforest outside of Byron Bay at this modern hinterland home. Throw that unforgettable corporate getaway, yoga retreat, or family reunion; Soma was designed with group activity in mind. If you feel like you’d rather some alone time, sneak away to read in the garden or drive 10-minutes to a cafe in downtown Byron Bay.
Thoughtfully designed for the entire group, Soma uses an open-concept layout to create spaces for gatherings, like the lengthy dining table inside. On the outside, a cluster of smaller bistro tables creates a space where the entire group can get together, but break away for more intimate moments. The main floor is outlined by floor-to-ceiling windows, framing beautiful hillside views. The decor is modern, completely clutter-free, yet warm wood tones give a sense of home. Spend lazy afternoons by the freshwater pool, mornings working out in the yoga-dome, and nights stargazing from a lounge chair.
When you’re ready to hit the beach, drive 20-minutes to Cape Byron. In the morning, the surf is legendary, and lessons are easy to find. If you’re feeling extra adventurous, check out some of the dive sites along the reef. After, snap a few pictures of the iconic lighthouse at the edge of Cape Byron State Conservation Park. If you’re traveling between June and November, pack a picnic and find a lookout spot along the coast, you might just spot a humpback whale or two.
The Soma Abode is additional accommodation nestled in the bamboo forest, offering a lovely private area away from the main house, but short enough distance to walk between the two.
The shared room features 3 single beds, bathroom, living area, kitchen and massive sun deck for reading and yoga. The room can be arranged for couples, with a king size bed. We provide 100% linen bedspreads, beach towels, room dividers and there is a walk-in wardrobe for storage.
We'd like to make you aware that our property features a separate dwelling that is discreetly situated away from the main house, currently occupied by a resident. Your booking guarantees complete privacy, and you will not encounter the other occupant during your stay.
