Swim alongside bull sharks with a marine conservationist

Join a bull shark monitoring expedition in Playa del Carmen, led by an expert marine conservationist. You’ll be accompanied on this safe, ethical encounter by certified diving guides and will not touch any sharks. No prior diving experience is required. • After supplying you with equipment and going over our safety protocols, make your first dive to observe the sharks. I’ll teach you to recognize individuals based on their markings. • Surface to eat lunch and discuss your observations. • On your second dive, you’ll apply the photo ID techniques you’ve learned to document and track sharks. Not only is this a rare opportunity to dive alongside a marine conservationist, your work will contribute data to our research and conservation efforts. Note: Participants must be aged 18 or older.

This experience includes a door to door service in a very comfortable transportation, after the pick ups we will move to the mystical archaeological site of Coba, where we will have a very fun exploration through the jungle by bike and visiting the most important structures of this historical place. After the exploration in Coba, I will take you to a cenote(cave) where we will be able to refresh ourselves in crystalline waters and observe incredible mineral formations. Temazcal tradicional, una experiencia de sanación ancestral.

En nuestro lugar de paz “Temazcal y Masajes Pixan” somos un equipo de personas mostrando nuestra cultura, todos son bienvenidos a nuestro espacio Con el apoyo de nuestros compañeros les damos la bienvenida y los llevamos a un lugar de descanso (palapa) y explicamos el proceso del Temazcal, y como lo hacían nuestros antepasados. Calentamos las piedras con leña, Usamos copal e incienso, medicina para el equilibrio de la energía que limpia antes de entrar al Temazcal desde ese momento experimentas una conexión espiritual. Después, entramos al Temazcal y nos sentamos alrededor del ombligo. Luego se emergen las piedras de origen volcánico previamente calentadas, que emiten vapor cuando rociamos agua con infusiones de plantas sanadoras encima de las abuelas piedras. El lugar se vuelve muy cálido mientras, a través de cantos y rezos, los participantes llegan a un contacto consigo mismos y aprenderemos la importancia de la palabra, el silencio y la fuerza de los cantos. Se realizan 4 puertas (4 tiempos) dentro del ritual, en los cuales entre cada uno se abrirán las puertas para bajar la temperatura y el ingreso de nuevas abuelas piedras. Al terminar salimos y nos duchamos en el jardín con una regadera rustica, el agua purifica nuestro cuerpo. The experience starts with a drive through the jungle for a few kilometers until our adventure continues on foot (bring flipflops, sandals or water shoes) During our walk I will guide you through tropical vegetation to discover the 4 DIFFERENT CENOTES this private property has hidden under its trees and give interesting facts about Mayan culture, nature and the history of the flooded caves. Cenotes are fresh water holes formed in the limestone thousands of years ago. They are considered sacred for the Mayan culture and even today you can still feel why our ancestors worshipped these beautiful caves. Each cenote has it's charm, all completely different and magical. We will swim, relax and snorkel in the cenotes without any hurry. Life jackets are included in the trip for your comfort. If you have never snorkeled before I will be very glad to help you. Exploring the cenotes will make you feel in another dimension and amaze you with the shades of blue, green and turquoise water. Here’s the plan: • 10:00 am: We’ll meet at Los Bisquets de Obregon restaurant in Playa del Carmen; • Our first stop is Akumal Bay, where you’ll snorkel with the sea turtles in their natural habitat.
