Over the river and through the woods... This cabin's favorable location will uniquely allow you to choose to what degree you would like to escape. In one direction lies the picturesque Jordan River Valley comprised of 22,000 acres and over 17 miles of an easily explorable trail system. In the other direction is the bustling city of Gaylord that holds all the convenience of city life just a short trek to the east. The stunning destinations of Traverse City, Petoskey, and Torch Lake, are also a stones throw away or you can simply choose to sit by campfire light or walk in the 20 acres of woods sitting just outside the backdoor. Nestled firmly in the snow belt, when the leaves are gone and the white stuff starts hitting the ground you will find yourself in the literal definition of a snowmobilers paradise.

We renovated this 1970s cabin from the ground up and designed it to feel open and connected to the landscape. With 20-foot vaulted ceilings, massive picture windows, a fireplace to curl up next to, and just minutes from some of the most stunning lakes in the state, it’s the perfect home base for exploring or doing nothing at all.

We offer 2 kayaks to use (must transport) cornhole boards & bags, trail riding your UTV/ORV, hiking, rafting at Jordan Valley Outfitter, snowmobiling. & many fine dining restaurants, several ski resorts and short day trips! Additionally, a 90 jet hottub for ultimate relaxation!

The Hawks Nest has been lovingly restored to its original glory while having all the modern-day amenities woven through its clean 380 sq. ft. space. Retreat to the spacious covered porch to relax and view the acre-and-half property leading down to 100ft of 6Mile Lake frontage. Star gaze while relaxing in the comfortable, Amish-built gilding chairs around the spacious, paver fire pit area .

ORV and snowmobile trails from the property to main state maintained trails. Small spring fed swimming lake located within the association neighborhood. With grills and sandy beach area. Close vicinity to many small towns with local bars and restaurants, some are accessible by orv right from the house.

Wooded setting in the Jordan River Valley. Modern amenities include internet wi-fi,dishwasher, satellite TV, washer, dryer. Sheets and towels provided. Beautiful yard with large partially covered deck and gas grill. Enjoy all outdoor activities hiking,skiing,( Shanty Creek and Shuss Mountain are 7mi from the Guest House )snowmobiling, canoeing the Jordan River only 3 mi. from the Guest House.Cross country ski from the rear deck.Place to park the boat trailer,snowmobile trailer.

Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish space. Very secluded on 6 private Acres. Relax around a camp fire in the evening or listen to the birds in the morning (you can often hear the loons early in the morning). This was built new in spring of 2025 and ready for your up north experience. Just 3 miles from Bellaire, 6 miles from Schuss Mountain for golf and skiing. 45 minutes from Traverse City and Petoskey. The perfect launching point for all NW Michigan has to offer.

Nestled in the beautiful Jordan River Valley, this cozy cabin is a writer's dream. Located seven miles from Mancelona, this woodsy retreat provides easy access to hiking, fishing, canoeing, and skiing. Shorts Brewery, and their famous craft beer, is a fifteen minute drive to downtown Bellaire. Traverse City and Petoskey are just forty-five minutes away. Wander the gardens that are part of the small turn-of-the-century farm, or just enjoy the quiet of the north woods.

Cozy Cottage on Five Lakes. Close to the expressway , snowmobile trails and downtown Gaylord. Fully stocked kitchen, fireplace, high speed internet and a smart TV so you can stream your favorite shows or just watch Netflix . Bring your kayaks and your fishing poles - nice deck to watch the sunset. Dogs are welcome for an additional one time fee of $35.00. There is no fence and because this house is on the lake dogs and children must be watched at all times.
