Footbridge Farm Cabin

Footbridge Farm is a quiet country get-away located on 90 wooded acres, 15 miles NE of Decorah. We are close to the mouth of Canoe Creek, the Upper Iowa River and adjacent to state DNR land. The cozy owner-built cabin has an open ceiling with exposed beams and rafters giving a sense of spaciousness. Local stone was used in the exterior walls and the floor-to-ceiling fire back behind the wood-burning stove. The floors are oak and slate. Detailed craftsmanship can be found throughout the cabin.

Peace & Simplicity on the Farm in the Little House

When you arrive at our 16 acre farmstead, you'll see that the Little House is built on the foundation of a barn that once stood on this farm. You'll notice the local craftsmanship and salvaged materials of this cottage and it's rustic feel and modern touches. You'll start to slow down and enjoy the simplicity that our property has to offer. Walk around the farm, make friends with a cow and watch barn kitties play while gazing across the vast farm vistas. Life should always be this peaceful!

Paint Creek Place

Stay next to beautiful Paint Creek in the heart of Iowa's Driftless Region. Guests can choose from a queen bed or double futon upstairs in the main living area. We also have a queen air mattress available. Enjoy the scenic view of one of Iowa's best trout streams from the house or adjacent green space. Take a 5 minute drive to Yellow River State Forest, and enjoy close access to other public hunting and fishing areas, Effigy Mounds, Pike's Peak, and the Mississippi River.

The Stone Home on N 2nd Street is a historic limestone building. We are 1/2 block from the Mississippi River with views of both the river and BlackHawk bridge. Across the street is the local ice cream shop. We are 1 block from main street and easy walking to restaurants/bars and shops. This is the upper level unit. There is a main level unit below this one. Stairs are required to gain access to this unit.

If you are looking for lodging accommodations for a week long or weekend get away, this scenic little gem will not disappoint. This is a great rental for a single, couple, small family or two couples! Ideal for a fishing tournament, boating trips, family vacations, retreats etc. We have hook-ups to charge your boats as well! If you plan to bring your pet, please look under fee’s for that charge.
