The Barn and adjoining house are over 300 years old the property being a former Gincase We are located in a small hamlet yet close to the local ammenities found in Cockermouth, Carlisle and the Harbour Town of Maryport, ideal for exploring the Solway Firth with views over to Scotland with its beautiful sandy beaches or perfect for visiting the Lakes and Fells.

Our place is close to Ravenstonedale village (3 miles), which has 3 decent pubs serving tasty food and beer. The beautiful Howgill Fells are literally at the door, where you can ramble for miles in a beautiful landscape. It is a dark sky place - with 0% pollution, the stars are spectacular!! You’ll love it because of the comfy beds, the cosiness, and the views. It's great for families or large groups to get together and enjoy the outdoors, or to relax in front of the cosy log-burning stove.

Nestled in the hills 5 minutes outside Kendal, the hut sits in its own private meadow, enjoying far reaching views of the fells. Nearby is the market town of Alston, Penrith and the north lakes, Barnard Castle in Teasdale. Stanhope in Weardale. Hadrian's wall, Hexham, Brampton and Carlisle
