The Garden Apartment

Spacious renovated apartment in the garden behind our 19th century Victorian house with its own entrance along the side path. Close to several parks, swimming pool/gym/tennis complex, and Queens Parade shopping strip. The neighbourhood is 4 km from the Melbourne CBD, and 100 meters from 86 tram to city and train station, and bus line along Hoddle Street. All this provides easy access to city, MCG, Rugby Stadium, Tennis Centre, Theatres and NGV. We are empty nesters with a kelpie dog, Peppy.

6.5 km from the City or 15-20 mins by train. A 5 min walk to Fairfield train station, on the same line as the famous Melbourne Cricket Ground, & Tennis Centre, 10-15 minutes away, or Marvel Stadium 25 mins. Sports & Concerts. Entry via the laneway provides privacy, while on street parking is not time restricted. A 5 minute drive to the Eastern Freeway also opens up day or onward trips from Melbourne. Pool, outdoor patio and washing machine available, but shared with us & our friendly dogs.

Darebin and Ivanhoe Stations are just a couple of minutes walk away making trips to the city and beyond a breeze. Our property has a newly renovated kitchen/ dining/ living space and bathroom/ laundry and is fully furnished with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The bedroom opens to a sunroom overlooking the beautiful parklands.

This beautiful studio is located in the garden of my property down a path at the side of the main house. It is fully self-contained, renovated and fully furnished with a large private deck and it's own private garden. The studio is fully insulated, has a split system heater/ air conditioner, washing machine, TV, good Internet, dining table and stools, comfortable couch, and a super comfortable high quality queen sized bed. It has a kitchenette and separate bathroom.

If you're looking for 5 star luxury, and marble bathrooms...then 'Patricia' isn't the place for you! What you will love is the welcoming and inviting spaces. My mum 'Patricia' was pretty quirky, and so is this whimsical place. 100 years old, and an Alphington institution...this adorable shopfront is one of the areas most loved and iconic buildings. The interior is warm and spacious, with plenty of room to rest or work, and everything you need for a comfortable stay.

Located close to transport (train and bus), extensive parklands and the Yarra River, the CBD and hospitals. You and your group will be close to everything when you stay at this centrally located, private house. Being squeaky clean is what we’re extra proud of. Easy to the MCG - the No.48 tram goes right past The G and gardens. Our stop is number 35; a six minute walk. Great access to public transport, shops, the city and freeway. Please note, we don’t have a bath tub; just a lovely shower.
