Spectacular 320 acre isolated working ranch in Surprise Valley, w 2 cabins, no neighbors, total solitude, awesome panoramas of lush meadows, snow-capped peaks to W, rim-rock buttes to E, exuberant sunsets. Official Dark Sky Area = great star-gazing. Warm spring-fed swimming pool, park-like lawn/trees, chickens, tame milk cows, owned by artist (painter)... Great hikes in every direction. Ivy Post Office

Neither rain, nor sleet, nor snow, nor hail shall keep visiters from the Ivy Post Office! It is located in Jess Valley, up the canyon from Likely, CA. The ranch is near Clear Lake and Mill Creek Falls on the north end of the valley. The Ivy Post Office served the sawmills of the valley from 1910-1922 until the road was built and mail could be delivered faster. Now it serves our ranch as cozy guest quarters. At 5000ft elevation the climate is quite more pleasant than surrounding areas!

The bunk house

Do you want a ranch vacation? Are you traveling with horses & need a lay over. We have room for both you and your horses too. If you want to experience ranch life, peace, quiet, & nature ,than come to our 80 acre horse ranch in alturas calif., where there are more cows in our county than people. We have horses, cows, chickens, and cow dogs. Stay in our remodeled bunkhouse, has room for 4. 1 queen bed, and a full size futon. Full kitchen, private bathroom, with outside bbq area.

For whatever the occasion this charming property is right for you. This historic 3-bedroom, 2-bath home once provided housing for Adin High School some 60 years ago. See beautiful valley views, picturesque sunsets, & wish upon a star under the wide-open country sky. Enjoy the outside fire pit, BBQ, full kitchen, stream movies or stay connected with Wi-Fi. The Cranky Canard - High Desert Log Cabin

This cozy log cabin that sits at the base of the Warner Mountains at 5,340 ft on 20 acres and backs to the National Forest. Beautiful view of the broad valley of the Pit River where you can witness breath-taking sunsets, dark skies where the Milky Way is visible to the naked eye, and even Mt. Shasta —which is located 95 miles west as the crow flies.

Our home is very neat and tidy. It is a great space for a family looking for a little more then a hotel room. It is conveniently located one block from Main Street, Niles Saloon & Hotel, Antonio's, Shopping, the Courthouse and near Modoc Medical Center. Sorry no pets and absolutely no smoking of any kind.
