McDonald Cove Cabin

Rustic cozy cabin. Open concept for easy entertaining with glorious views of the water. Main floor bedroom with Queen bed plus open loft with Queen bed. The cabin has one bathroom opposite the downstairs bedroom. Great outdoor living with two decks; front deck facing the waterfront. Use stairs to access the beach and boat house which houses two single kayaks, one double kayak, life jackets, and beach chairs for guest use. One exterior security camera, which monitors the driveway is present.

Located just 60 miles north of Olympia on the on the scenic Hood Canal, Weather-N-Heights resort was lovingly built and enjoyed by my parents for many years. Recently updated to it's original splendor, it sits right on the shore with spectacular views looking south down the canal. This property has it all. Whether it is swimming, fishing or watching the local wildlife right from the deck or hiking, waterfalls and exploring everything the Olympic Peninsula has to offer within a short drive.

Once tucked back into the woods, this newly improved 1920s cabin now enjoys a front-row seat to the grandeur of the Hood Canal thanks to a tidal creek that has washed away the sandy soil that once supported the departed trees. This beachfront property offers an amazing view of Hood Canal. The house is newly decorated with cozy bedrooms, two living areas, a covered deck and a big patio with a hot tub! Wake up in the morning and enjoy a cup of coffee on the deck while looking at serene blue water. The property has access to 100 ft. of beach access or BBQ under a gazebo. Enjoy a glass of wine and s'mores around a fire pit and gaze the stars. We also offer 3 kayaks for you to enjoy when the current is calm.

Shuck, kayak, crab, clam, soak in the hot tub or just relax by the river rock fireplace in our beautiful beach cabin. 315' of oyster rich no bank waterfront on a sheltered cove. Everyone will have fun at Octopus Hole! Also available for rent are our adjacent studio cottage and our 2-bedroom 1930's cabin, located on the far side of the studio. All 3 cabins are located right next to each other, right on the beach. Rent two or all three cabins for a large group or a reunion!
