Clifden, The Barn on the Wild Atlantic Way.

The Barn is a unique old stone barn but modern, with an open plan sitting/kitchen/ eating area with cathedral ceiling and a long narrow window overlooking the Salt Lake to one side, a small window looking down to the sea on the other. There are two bedrooms and a wet room style bathroom (no bathtub) but plenty of hot water and underfloor heating. It is wonderfully quiet, a real retreat for those who just want to escape. Guest Accommodation in Spidéal, No Wifi

This is a wooden chalet to the rear of our property that we use to accommodate family when visiting. The village of Spiddal is a 15 - 20 minute walk away and Galway City is 12miles or 17km away. There is a regular bus service ( the 424) You can catch the bus and get off the bus at the end of the road which is a 5 minute walk from the property but having a car is probably best. It's a great base for exploring Galway and Connemara etc. No WIFI
