The Swallow's Nest is a tiny barn which sits between Slievenamon & the Comeragh mountains, in the glorious valley known as The Honeylands but is only a ten minute drive from Clonmel, Tipperary's County town.

Located 1.5 Km outside Ballyporeen on a quite cul-de-sac nestled in the scenic surroundings of the Galtee mountains and the Knockmealdowns. This old renovated farmhouse provides comfortable accommodation for anyone wishing to explore the area with its many historical sites and attractions for those who love the great outdoors. Just 2km from Mitchelstown cave and 4 km from the Galtee mountains, Alice’s farmhouse is located close to a working dairy farm where cows and hens may pass by.

Glamping in Galtee Mountains

Our rustic 21 ft wooden yurt is set in the Galtee Mountains with hiking & biking at your doorstep. The yurt has a wood stove, tea/coffee, toaster, microwave, bbq, fridge, stereo, books, games and dvd player. Continental b'fast for 2 is included in price. Two normal bikes are available for use. Charming 15th Century Castle

Built in the late 1400s, Grantstown Castle has been lovingly restored and mixes medieval architecture with modern comforts. The Castle Is Rented In Its Entirety And Caters For Up To Seven Guests. The castle is comprised of six floors, connected via a stone and oak spiral staircase. There are three double bedrooms and one single. The castle has great battlements which are accessible at the top of the staircase and host amazing views of the surrounding countryside.
