Mbashe River Heights real african rural living!

Mbashe River Heights is self catering accommodation situated just off the N2 at Mbashe River Bridge 30km from Idutywa and 55km from Mthata, in in a rural village called Mzinya close to Qunu(Mandelas home and burial place) and Mvezo(Mandelas birth place). The Mbashe river is ideal for fishing small mouth yellow fish, carp, palling and barbell. Beautiful area for motorbikes and mountain bikes. Birdlife great including vulture breeding ground, secretary birds, fish eagles, hawks. Great for reps.

Lia’s Little Cabin

Located 4kms from Coffee Bay in a local village, Lia's cabin is the perfect escape for nature lovers. It’s cosy and comfortably equipped, complete with a large, fully fenced yard to welcome pets. Enjoy the views and sounds of the indigenous forest and Indian Ocean as you discover peace and tranquility. Fire up the outdoor braai beneath the stars or ask your local guide about activities like fishing, surfing, hiking, cliff jumping, caving, etc! NOTE: Currently only accessible with 4x4 or SUV’s.

Sleepy Hollow Cottage, Mngcibe

Sleepy Hollow is situated on the Wild Coast in a local Village called Mngcibe, 1.5km north of Mdumbi river. What started as just a rondavel on it's own, has been developed with a separate bathroom and a 3 double bedroom unit with a decking. This is a family built and run holiday home that we hope you will enjoy as much as we do. It's quiet and set away from the stresses of normal life, so be prepared to switch off and relax on the decking with a beautiful view of our Wild Coast.

Situated inside the fenced-in Hole in the Wall resort grounds. Spectacular sea view! 80 meters to the beach. Communal swimming pool. Children's play area. Daily Dolphin and whale sightings in season. Pub and restaurant on site. There are four different beaches within a very easy walk from the cottage. Gillies are available outside the gate for a fishing outing to some top spots. Ask for pricing guidance from the resort Manager or Resort Reception.

Luxury Double Story Rondavel – with TV

This unit truly is luxury accommodation in the Transkei, with a gorgeous, spacious upstairs loft bedroom that has an incredible view of the ocean and surrounding landscape. The downstairs consists of a second bedroom and a shared bathroom that has a double shower. The open plan kitchen/living area is spacious with French doors opening out onto a large deck to relax on. This unit boasts the best view of the lodge.

Beach Haven Mazeppa Bay

Beach Haven Mazeppa Bay is a newly renovated, 6 bedroom home in the Transkei. The house is set next to a dune, covered with indigenous fauna and flora, shielding it from the wind. Although the house dose not host ocean views , visitors will have access to the beach which is only 150 meters away. Mazeppa bay is a great destination for families and friends and is a hot spot for fisherman and bird watchers.

Mazeppa Sunrise Studio

The studio sleeps 2 guest and consists of a bedroom with 2 single beds, a bathroom with shower and a small kitchenette to cater for all your needs for a comfortable holiday. The unit has a patio with a braai and is located only 20m from the sea. Parking for 1 car. Sunrise Studio is adjacent to Mazeppa Sunrise House and can thus be incorporated to make one large unit to sleep 8 guests.
