Welcome to Hummingbird House, where you can rest and relax in your own container home in the country. We have designed two containers with your comfort in mind. Whether you want to relax inside the bedroom and listen to our record collection or chill out in the large outdoor tub surrounded by our lush landscaping we will make sure you have everything you need. If you want to wander to Round Top, Lockhart (Best BBQ in TX) Smithville (aka Hope Floats movie) COTA Race track, or a trip into Austin.

Whether you prefer to stay local and enjoy the small town life, or venture out for something livelier, this home has something for everyone. Cabin at Colorado Crossing, Smithville, Texas

Come experience nature and history at Colorado Crossing. Enjoy the private, quiet, peaceful cabin on the Colorado River. Six hundred sq ft of beautiful living space with a king size bed and sofa bed. Fully operational open kitchen and dining area. Cabin is one big room with a separate full bathroom. Back porch is a great place to view the stars. Cabin is nestled in the woods with waterfront on the Colorado River. Fish, hike, kayak, enjoy the birds and relax along the beautiful river.

Domovina Ranch Cottages ("The Hemingway")

We offer two beautiful cottages (The Hemingway and The FW) that are located on 50 acres at the end of a dead end road. Surrounded by thousands of privately owned acreage, featuring abundant wildlife (deer, turkey, birdwatchers paradise). This is a working cattle ranch so you can take in sunsets as cattle graze in front of you. Cottages are newly built and fully furnished. Lofts for reading, custom tile showers, outdoor fire pits and lounge area. Cottages are located away from main house.

Best Little Cabin in Texas

Secluded cabin on 200 acres of private pine forest. Enjoy hiking & views from large deck. Cabin's decor based on local legend & Broadway hit, The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, replete with the madam's bed. Fully stocked kitchen with coffee maker, microwave, & dishwasher. BBQ on the outdoor propane grill and enjoy a campfire under the stars (bring your own firewood). 2 miles off highway. Pets OK with a $25 per pet fee. Up to three. Please let us know if you’ll be bringing yours.

Peaceful Pines Country Getaway

Rustic, remodeled cabin. 1 bedroom with queen bed, living area with (2 twin beds), 2 full baths and kitchenette. Walking trails for you to enjoy! Wet creek and 1 acre pond. Outside picnic area. Catch and release fishing. Beautiful horses grazing on the property. Multiple outdoor areas to enjoy. Sitting area on back deck with pond view from cabin. Great place to unwind and get a peaceful nights rest. 38 miles to Austin city limits.

Lovely cottage, downtown Bastrop Historic District

Perfect for 2 couples or a small family. Situated in the Downtown Bastrop Historic District, our 100-year-old, 2 bed, 2 bath house has been fully renovated and modernized. Our comfy, pristine weekend home features hardwood floors throughout with generous-sized bedrooms and an open floor plan. In cooler seasons, walk to downtown live music and dining venues, Fisherman's Park or just stroll around town to look at our historic buildings.
