Cozy Cabin - Trails Galore

This cozy cabin is located in Crawford County, Michigan, known for its military & State owned land. 60% of the county is available for recreation including ORV and snowmobile trails, XC skiing, kayaking, biking and hiking. The cabin is surrounded by ORV and snowmobile trails. It is centrally located in the northern part of the lower peninsula for easy day trips to areas such as Mackinac Island and Traverse City. Higgins lake, with a small beautiful beach is just a 5 minute drive from the cabin.

Barn Studio Suite

Reconnect with nature at this unforgettable escape. Once a barn for tack and hay, now a peaceful studio suite with all of the modern amenities, including a full bath, kitchen, and laundry. Play with goats or relax on the swing to watch cows & horses graze. Our animals are also pets and we welcome yours! Choose your adventure! Saddlewood Ranch is surrounded by trails, between 2 lakes (5 minutes), yet close to town and Camp Grayling. Whether you seek serenity or adventure, your get away awaits!

No extra cleaning fee! Amazing waterfront retreat at Maggie Grayling's Lake House, 15 minutes from Grayling, Michigan on Lake Margrethe. In warm weather, step to our private beach on a clear, sandy-bottom lake perfect for swimming, wading, fishing, boating, etc. When the weather cools off, enjoy miles of trails for walking, ATVs, and snowmobiles. Ski at Hansen Hills or bundle up and go ice fishing. We are about 10 minutes from the Manistee and Au Sable for fly fishing, canoeing, and tubing.

After a day on the water, unwind around our beautifully lit bonfire area. The cottage offers AC, a gas grill, comfortable beds, beach towels, yard games, & more!

With full bathroom facilities, electricity, heat/ac and water. Just steps away from pristine State Forest land, providing a peaceful and nature-immersed retreat. Pet friendly location. This campsite offers homey ammenities like television and wifi. Let our home away from home be your temporary home away from home.

Higgins Lake getaway

Our little getaway just under an acre & offers plenty of room for tents, boats & toys. 1st floor bdrm has a queen bed w/window air unit, loft has full bed & full futon w/window air unit, we remove units in the cooler months. bathroom has tub/shower, & kitchen has full amenities. Cabin accommodates 6+ people. Our cabin is a great place whether you are coming up to enjoy the lake, Mackinaw Island, Traverse City, the Fall color tours, hunting, or winter activities.

Sunset Fox Den w/ Hot Tub & River Float Rentals

Please note that our family-owned canoe rental operates on the property during daytime hours, adding a fun and lively riverfront atmosphere. Evenings are wonderfully peaceful, making it the perfect place to unwind, enjoy the sunset, and experience the quiet side of Northern Michigan. As our family business grows, an additional guest lodge may be added nearby in the future, allowing us to welcome more visitors while maintaining the property’s relaxing Up North feel.

Larkin's Cabin | Cozy Pet & Family Friendly!

Larkin’s Cabin is fully updated & one mile from beautiful Higgins Lake!! This cabin has all the comforts of home with no sparing on that northern Michigan feel. In summer, spend the days swimming, boating or fishing & the nights cozied up by the bon fire. Winter, enjoy ice fishing, snowmobiling, or cross-country skiing with 11 miles of trails just a mile away. There's also plenty of space for entertaining inside & out with ample parking for boats & trailers.

Au Sable River Getaway

One mile from the Mason Wilderness Tract, view eagles, deer and other wildlife out the front door, relax beside the peaceful South Branch of the Au Sable, a trout stream (catch and release, please), hunt in fall, enjoy cross-country skiing at several nearby trails including the 12-mile-long Mason Tract Trail, ski rentals, lessons and trails nearby.
