Rocky Bay on the View

Our self catering holiday home within the unique and tranquil Steenbras Nature Reserve. With solar power, a fully equipped kitchen, air-con, 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Enjoy the view of False Bay while watching dolphins and whales frolic in the waves and the seals lie sleepily on the rocks. A birdwatchers delight. Enjoy activities such as cycling, hiking, sun bathing, and swimming. Also close by, visit famous wine farms and enjoy their wine tastings. A real escape from the hustle and bustle.

The Lookout

Although there is no direct road access, the views from the house are exceptional. Parking on Boyes Dr or Capri Rd. A modern, casual two-storey house in St James with panoramic views of False Bay. Walk from the house up the mountain or to Kalk Bay harbour, shops & restaurants - or stay at home and enjoy the pool, hot tub & fireplaces. Soulful, rustic family home, built by us in 1986. Perfect to enjoy Betty's Bay coastline, the sea views, the wind, the dramatic sunsets, candlelit evenings and the sound of the waves to put you to sleep. 50m from the front beach. Walking distance to the breath-taking Silversands Beach. 3min drive to the penguin colony. 10min drive to Botanical gardens. 20min drive to Palmiet river swimming and hiking. Thalassa has soul and many happy moments have been spent here in this idyllic haven.

This much-loved family beach house is separated from the ocean by only a narrow strip of coastal fynbos. Fall asleep to the sound of the ocean and wake up to watch the whales from the balcony overlooking False Bay (the whales visit from Aug to Dec). The downstairs bedroom has two single beds while the upstairs room has a queen bed and a small lounge area overlooking the ocean. The house has a fully equipped kitchen and two full bathrooms, one with a shower and the other with a bath.
