Julia's Cottage is a charming, welcoming little home, where you will be inclined to kick back and just soak in the beauty surrounding you. Our two cabins Dogwood and Holly are located on a quiet, wooded 10 acre retreat that is 8 miles from Athens. Our special feature is a spring fed creek that flows year round and has it's own micro climate that is perfect for native ferns, mixed hardwood forest and dogwoods. We have provided a nature trail for bird watching and exercise. Recently we designed and constructed a beautiful pond with three waterfalls and a deck overhanging the water with chairs for enjoying our private paradise.

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Enter a gated entrance onto our private property just minutes from Gladewater's antique district. Whether you are visiting family or coming to shop, this charming Cottage offers safety and security where you will feel right at home. We have ample parking space for a trailer or U-Haul. There is also a pipe fence horse pasture if needed. Bring your camera for some unique photo opportunities at our dock. We would love for you to be our guest!

This cabin in the woods offers the seclusion and East Texas beauty you seek, yet is just minutes away from numerous restaurants and attractions with easy access to Interstate 20 and Toll 49. Retreat to the large deck and gaze at the stars, or grab a blanket and enjoy s’mores by the fire.

Private suite w/King bed & great shower!

This is a 552sqft apartment within our home. It has a completely private driveway and entrance and secure locking interior door between units. One of the features we think you'll most enjoy is the spacious shower with all the hot water you could want! The kitchenette is ready for a bit of cooking if you like. In addition to the King bed, the sofa folds into a bed suitable for an older child or young adult, and a twin mattress on the floor is available upon request.

My place is 6 miles east of Mineola, TX. Close to antique shopping, Mineola nature preserve, public lakes, 30 minutes to Canton First Monday trades days, and many other spotlights in East Texas. You’ll love my place because of the cozy, farmhouse atmosphere and country living. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers. Not suitable for kids or children, and I do not allow pets or animals of any kind on the property.

Short 20 minute drive to Lake Fork. No chores at check out!
