Gaze over stunning 180-degree views of islands on Lago Maggiore from the expansive, floor-to-ceiling windows of this lovely, 230-year-old rustic stone villa. Antique furnishings perfectly complement the historic architecture. The house is on 3 floors so a fair bit of walking up and down stairs is required. The main bedroom is on the upper floor and the 2nd bedroom (two single beds) and bathroom on the lowest floor. Ideal for couples and families but not for the elderly or groups of 4 adults.

Porto Ceresio is a lovely Lombardian village, right on the border with Switzerland.

You arrive by boat. No road, no car, no traffic — just a red cottage on the water in a village that time forgot, and the boat is yours for the whole stay (no licence needed). Two bedrooms, a fireplace, a covered terrace over the lake, and a garden of old trees with a wood-fired pizza oven and BBQ. Kayak and paddleboard included. La mia casetta è un vecchio fienile ristrutturato mantenendo il sasso originale, è il posto ideale per una vacanza rilassante, si trova in un angolo molto tranquillo con il suo giardino recintato dove è possibile godere del sole tutto l'anno, leggere un libro in pace, mangiare sotto il portico, prendere il sole in giardino. La casetta si trova a due passi dal centro di Verbania e dalla spiaggia. Perfetta per una vacanza da soli o in coppia o con bimbi.
