"Bird Song" private getaway, tucked away in nature

"Bird Song" is named after the host of bird calls that greet you each morning (and the night jars that you hear after dark). It is the perfect 'private bush camp' for a ‘family-of-4’ vacation or for a secluded ‘get-away-from-it-all retreat’ for couples. The architect designed timber structure is set on a slope with views through and over the fynbos and right at the edge of pristine Indigenous Forest. The cottage has electricity 24 hours a day, even during loadshedding and backup water supply. The cottage is modern and cozy and comfortable. Set in a green leafy lane, the bird life is abundant and the atmosphere relaxing. Perfect for business travelers and vacation travelers. There is fibre, even during load shedding for uninterrupted work. Secure parking on the property. Hosts are usually on the property to assist if necessary but allow guests total privacy.

Welcome to Bridge Cottage and our home, Thornybush, on the edge of the forest. It is private and quiet. For runners and walkers there are 10kms of forest and fynbos paths to explore. Swim in the private natural river pool or relax on the deck and watch the birds. Thornybush is close to many excellent restaurants. The nearest beach is a 10 minute drive away, as are the bird and animal parks in the Crags and Plettenberg Bay Game Reserve is just up the road.
