Snæfelsnes peninsula road is close by. Natural hot springs, Viking home of Erik the Red and his son Leif the Lucky who discovered America and the Leif Eiriksson Center all in the area. Hegranes guesthouse on a farm

We would like to welcome you to come and stay in our lovely guesthouse at our farm in the heart of Skagafjordur. Here you can relax and enjoy your evening in our hot tub, take a walk to visit our calm and gentle horses, we also own a beautiful lake and we are "forest farmers" i.e. we plant 10.000 trees each year and we can highly recommend a stroll through our young forest to the lake. There will be sheep, chicken, cats and dogs around and next to the house there is a beautiful old church:)

Háafell Lodge

Welcome to Háafell Farm where we raise sheep, keep horses and have one friendly dog. Our private guest house is located 200 meters above the farm, up the mountain at 130 meters above sea level. It is a recently built (2020), 100 square meter, modern “turf house style” house. Háafell means “The High Mountain” and has a long river that cascades down its side with several tiers of waterfalls. It is a five minute walk to our canyon and it is possible to take a cold bath in one of the waterfalls.

Hvammur Cottage with a private hot tub

Hvammur is a summerhouse with private hot tub Hvammur is in Bjarnarfjordur, 25 km from Hólmavík. Excellent location for travelling to North/South Strandir or Westfjords. The house stands by the river that runs down the valley. It is a quiet place an excellent place to see the northern lights. Swimming pool and geothermal hot tubs are located in Laugarhóll about 1 km from the house. Outside the house is a fire place, good for quiet evening under the sky and Aurora borealis

Rustic Cabin with a View

Rustic Cabin is a micro apartment connected to our farmhouse. The kitchen and living-room are in the same space where you have two beds, a sleeping sofa and a wonderful view of the sunset or the northern lights - if you're lucky. And then there is a nice private bathroom. Steinnes is a farm located in picturesque Icelandic scenery with a beautiful view of mountains and the river running by. It lies 15 minutes (by car) south of Blönduós and 2 km from the main road.

Eyri Seaside Houses is a cozy, warm and new guesthouse with a great ocean view on our small horse farm. We usually have horses at home, and if you like, you can contact us and we’ll let you pet them with us! We’re located in Hvammstangi but still very private, with only the ocean and landscape in view. There are a lot of birds at the beach, and there’s even a chance to spot seals. Occasionally whales enter the fjord, but you’ll need a lucky day to see them.

We are easy to reach (even with a small car) in all seasons and there are many activities and natural landmarks in our area.

Stóra-Vatnshorn is a family owned working farm with sheep, horses, dog and a cat and rental of cottages and our "Old farmhouse". Rural, quiet and beautiful surroundings. The Old farmhouse, built in 1936 is 150m2 with5 bedrooms (all different in size an shape) and sleeps easily 6 people. Fully equipped kitchen, living room and dining area. WC, shower and heating. Washer & dryer for clothes. TV & free Wifi .

Seljaland ferðaþjónusta Cottage 2

This is a small 16 m2 house with a 180 cm bed, access to a shared toilet and bathing facilities with other small houses. There is a microwave, kettle, glasses, dishes and cutlery in the house. There is a small restaurant in the area but it must be booked in advance. There are 28 km to the nearest store. Guests need to come to the main house to check in. There is open WiFi.
