To the north is the Nature Conservancy's 1,300 acre preserve and Newbert pond. Solar lights, (we are off the grid) gravity fed kitchen water, gas-hot water outdoor shower, outhouse overlooking the forest. Hiking trails everywhere! Swimming across the road on Hobbs Pond. If you book in November, there is a possibility that if it gets cold, you will not have a hot outdoor shower and will use water from a 5 gallon ceramic container for drinking and cooking.

Our rustic lakefront cabin is on beautiful crystal clear Beech Hill Pond near Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor, Maine. The cabin has 2 bedrooms and is suitable for 1 to 4 guests. It is furnished with the amenities listed as well as a dock, swimming float, fire pit with firewood, gas grill, and table and chairs. Enjoy the peacefulness from the screened in porch which overlooks the lake after a day of hiking in Acadia National Park. You will hear the call of the loons while relaxing.

The Cordovan Cabin

This 1000sq log cabin is two bedrooms. A queen, 2 twins and a queen pullout couch in the living room sleeps two. This private retreat is behind a small chicken farm with cats. Offering A fully equipped kitchen +paper towels, soaps, salt pepper propane grill, t.v. Wi-Fi,DVD, toilet paper, soaps shampoos towels. A washer and dryer available for use. Family books, games,some art supplies in a separate work, craft room. The backyard offers a wood fire circle with wood cut from the land.

The Birch Bark Cabin

Completely unplug at this silent and stunning off-the-grid cabin situated in the heart of mid coast Maine. Minutes from several lakes, ponds and Penobscot Bay. Our family is excited to share our off-grid *lite* cabin with you! Located on our artist collective farm, this is our favorite place on earth. It’s bright, beautiful, and filled with color. We are 27 minutes from Acadia National Park and surrounded by truly gorgeous local beaches. We offer super comfy beds, beach cruisers, an outdoor shower, hot tub, twinkle lights, summer nights filled with fireflies, bright maples in the fall, and a cozy wood stove in the winter.
