This rustic, solar cabin has it's own private hiking trail(100m, steep hill) and private parking area. The trail winds it's way up to your private view overlooking Golden Lake. You will feel tucked away in this cozy spot surrounded by mixed oak forest, sitting atop Canadian Shield rock formations. This a very popular lake for fishing large and small mouth bass, walleye and lake trout. Watch the sunrise over the lake from the deck, bbq off the back of the cabin or take a break in the hammock. Rolling Rapids Retreat is a private riverside cabin that is ideal for couples or solo travellers. Sit on the dock and watch the sunset. Sip a drink by the indoor wood burning fireplace while looking out the window at moving water. Watch the leaves change colour and fall from the trees. Paddle the lazy river in a canoe or relax in the hammock.

Great place to sleep if you are going to be out all day hiking, geocaching, fishing, canoeing, atving, snowmobiling, cross country skiing or snowshoeing. South Algonquin Trails is a working horse farm. If you enjoy great people and horses then this is the place for you. Horseback riding is available on site.

Former Algonquin Park post office transferred to this property in 1970 and made into a beautiful cottage. - 15 min away from Bancroft - several beaches around the area - 40 min walking trail on the property - small pond on the property - 2 double beds, 1 twin bed & 1 pull out couch - open concept, loft style. PLEASE READ! This little rustic OFF GRID cabin is perfect for that quiet getaway in nature you have been needing. If you are a lover of the outdoors, this is a location for you. Fisherman and snowmobilers welcomed. No electricity or running water. We repeat, no electricity or running water! No shower but a new outhouse. You are fancy camping. Water jugs and firewood for the wood stove and bon fire are provided.
