We live in London's East End, which has always been very cosmopolitan and caters to most tastes - the whole area got a huge boost from the 2012 Olympics and the energy continues to be very positive.East London has become more trendy too. Our house is a traditional modern town house and each of the guest bedrooms has it's own ensuite bathroom and there is a double sofabed in the living room on the ground floor with adjoining w.c., wifi, TV - full kitchen and conservatory, plus private garden with pergola. We are happy to share our knowledge of the area with you and can show you local street markets and charity shops, if you are looking for a bargain, or a good local pub - one of the local pubs has been going strong for some 500 + years, where Dickens used to have the odd pint and is now owned by Sir Ian McKellen. Another nearby (The George Tavern) began as a watering hole in 1623 and Grace Jones is a regular customer, plus a celebrity backer for their restoration campaign. Stepney House is in Stepney Green (part of hip East London), which has excellent transport links to museums, galleries, theatres & a wide variety of entertainment, shopping (nearby Westfield in Stratford is the largest mall in Europe), bars, clubs and restaurants - the local buses operate 24/7 and the tube (which is over 150 years old) is within a few minutes walk, plus there is the bike rental scheme available at the local docking station. The area is quiet and safe. We will aim to help you have the best time in London and try to go the extra mile to achieve that - hope to see you soon. The property is located in a v quiet pocket of one way street, whilst being right in the heart of one of London's most fashionable areas KINGS CROSS. Tesco Metro [supermarket] 200yds from house. A Waitrose flagship store is 3 mins walk. The property is within the Regent Quarter development. 200 yds from the property are GRANARY SQUARE and COAL DROPS YARD some of London's finest shops, high end restaurants, Gastro pubs and Bars. Kings Cross has to has probably the best transport connections in central london. 10 mins from Leicester sq and Oxford Circus. The property is 20 mins walk from the British Museum and 10 mins from the British Library. Regents park and London Zoo is a 20 min walk along the Regents Canal, the canal being only 2 streets away from the property. Upper street, the backbone of Islington, is 15 mins walk.

This is a hidden haven - a quiet, two story apartment hidden at the back of a Victorian house in East London - really close to top locations: Victoria Park, Hackney Wick, Ldn Fields and Broadway Market - and only 15 mins to oxford street central on the tube. I live in the house when I don't have guests - and everyone comments what a unique and welcoming space it is! The bedroom shown is only for guests and totally private. The space is also really quiet with two private outdoor spaces.
