It is offgrid with no electricity or cell service, sky light windows providing natural light and a wood stove for heating. In the wilderness yet minutes from the highway, outdoor cooking on the wood fired grille, sunset and star watching await. Wildlife is abundant, and you can explore the 4 lakes chain. Welcome home! You’ve made it to Island Mountain Arts’ (IMA) Artist-in-Residence building, which we have lovingly come to refer to as The Nest! After housing studies and fundraising, The Nest was acquired in 2014 to host visiting artists and artists-in residence throughout the year. During down-time, the space is rented out to friends like you, who are hoping to discover more of what the wonderful world of Wells can offer. Your stay with us in the Nest supports the Arts in Wells.

Cottage on the Lake

Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish space. One bedroom and a loft, comfortably sleeps 4 in two queen beds. If you enjoy fishing, hiking, biking, paddling, swimming or just want some peace and quiet to relax, this space is ideal. Just 15 km from downtown Quesnel and 45 minutes from Barkerville there are many things in the area to explore. Shared lakeshore access with the house on the property with room to dock your boat. Pets are negotiable and need to be pre-approved.

Willow River Inn

The Willow River Inn is a 1930's wooden heritage building with two balconies overlooking the mountains. Two and a half stories tall, the upper floor and optional loft consist of 5 bedrooms, two bathrooms and two balconies. In addition there is a warm and social living and dining space and a fully serviced kitchen with all the modern conveniences. Besides its unique atmosphere, its location next to all amenities make it a perfect base for all summer and winter activities.
