An Tigín, - 200 Year Old Cottage close to Lake

An Tigín is a beautiful and quaint cottage which dates back to the 1800's that has been restored with love and care by a descendant, John Joe. It allows you to step back in time, while providing many of the comforts of modern living. It is situated adjacent to the owner's home on a farm that runs onto the historic Lake O' Flynn, famous for its trout fishing and may fly hatch. A new Playground and Boat Jetty allow easy access to the water and some fun on the slides depending on your preference!

Cosy Cottage

Kick back and relax in this calm, cosy space in the rolling countryside and just a 40 minute drive from Knock Airport. For something more lively there’s Westport and Castlebar, with their shops, bars and the beautiful coastline and beaches of the Wild Atlantic Way. The 2 friendly cats, Muffin and Bruce, prefer to live outside but like to say hello. When not away working, I stay in a chalet on a separate piece of land close by but not overlooking the cottage. I do respect guest privacy.

Features include 3 murders holes and a dungeon The castle was built by the DeBurgo family (approximately 1480). It had the distinction of being shelled by the British Gunboat ” Helga” during the1916 Rising to disband rebels
