Casa Vista Grande

Casa Vista Grande sits on a hilltop with spectacular unobstructed views of Big Bend NP and the Chisos Mtns. It's 1.3 miles south of Terlingua on a good dirt road…off Hwy 170. It is 6 miles to the entrance of BBNP. The river, mountain biking, hiking, and stables are nearby. Our remodeled 1200 sq. ft. adobe house features one bedroom with a king bed, a queen Murphy bed in the spacious living area, vaulted ceilings, full kitchen, large bathroom with tiled shower, fire pit, and two covered porches.

Mesa Hideout, Off-Grid Adobe in Terlingua Ranch

The adobe is perched high on the edge of Jack Eden Mesa in the Chihuahuan Desert. The rustic adobe overlooks the historic Comanche Trail and is built near an ancient Indian campsite as evidenced by metate's, stacked rocks and a petroglyph. This is a very remote location and will provide you with a unique, wild west experience not available many other places. The one room cabin has 4 twin beds. All water is captured rainwater and must be used conservatively. There is limited cell phone service.

Kushala Wildhorse Mountain

Welcome to Kushala! Great for families and large groups. Kushala is a 2400 sq ft Spanish-style adobe home on 20 acres of ocotillo, mesquite, cactus and wildflowers with 360 degree views of Big Bend mountains. 11 miles to Terlingua ghost town and 9 miles to the Big Bend National Park, you can enjoy hikes or drives in the day time, relax at home at night or go out to the Ghost town for dining and music. Sleeps 10 comfortably, 4 bedrooms, 2 baths, fireplace, ceiling fans, front/back porches.

The Goat shed @ La Loma del chivo

This artistic structure, once called 'Hostel' and now called 'the goat shed', is made from papercrete and other recycled materials . The project is ongoing. It is quite comfortable and suitable for up to 4 guests. If you are looking for a new experience very far from suburbia and get the joke this is it! Come stay and enjoy the great 'via lactea' from the attached sunset deck. Shared bathroom( only with another single person if it's rented).Don't be afraid to stretch your consciousness here.

Sunset Ranch is an acre lot at the far southeast corner of Marathon, TX that backs up to the ranch land facing south that provides unobstructed views of sunrises and sunsets from the 700 sf covered porch. Marathon is a quaint west Texas town with a public park, gardens, restaurants and shopping. It also has a level 1 night sky rating for star gazing. Located 40 minutes from Big Bend National Park entrance, this is a launch point to explore the national park and other parks and communities.

Water, electricity, wifi, close accessibility and all the amenities of home. We sleep up to 6. We have indoor/outdoor wind protection. We have an automatic generator for power outages. Sit in our anti gravity chairs for night sky viewing. We provide 2 shaded areas outside, a carport and an outdoor wood fire pit. Our Barndominium sits on 40 acres of desert splendor.

Off Grid Earth Bag Home

Welcome to my earth bag home located 25 minutes outside of the entrance to Big Bend National Park. The house sits on 150 acres with 360 degree views of mountains, mesas, pinnacles, spires, and buttes. There are walking trails throughout the property. Good luck finding another home with as much love put into it! If the Earthbag home is booked I have a home called “Rammed Earth” over the hill that is a work of art. For some reason with online algorithms this home is not showing up as often.

Terlingua Casita de Chile's

This is a 107 acre property that allows for lots of wildlife viewing, stargazing and just enjoying quiet and relaxing evenings. This is one of two rentals on the 107 acres! This property is a scenic 50 minute drive to the BBNP entrance. At 45 minutes along the way to BBNP you will pass gas, grocery and adult beverage stores. Once you return to the property for the evening, you will find a cooling/hot tub, wildlife along with peaceful relaxing stars and scenery to enjoy. Car accessible.

It is beautifully landscaped and features ample parking. 2BR/1BA (master bedroom -king 400 series Serta adjustable bed; 2nd bedroom has a queen size adjustable bed) each with their own smart tvs. The home has a large dining room for meals and gatherings and a sunroom with a gas log fireplace is located at the back of the home perfect for reading, bird watching, or just relaxing.
