Gap of Dunloe Shepherd's Cottage

Enjoy a memorable visit when you stay in this unique place. Nestled in the heart of Gap of Dunloe Glacial Valley, Beaufort, Killarney on the Ring of Kerry, spend some quiet time in our lovingly restored 1800s cottage. The accommodation comprises of one King bed downstairs, a mezzanine with 2 single beds and second mezzanine with one single bed, both accessed by ladder. Cottage is Off Grid, lights and fridge are solar powered,. Cooker, hot water, heating and shower are powered by gas.

Adjacent to the kitchen is a sunroom/dining room looking out to the mountain views all around. the bathroom is newly refurbished with a spacious shower, a toilet and wash hand basin. there are 2 bedrooms. one doube, one twin. Beautiful cottage recently renovated close to the Macgillycuddy Reeks & 15 minutes off the wild Atlantic Way. The beautiful Rossbeigh Beach is 30 minutes drive away. Guests can go walking, climbing & horse riding, in the surrounding areas. A range of restaurants can be reached in ten minutes by car. The cottage has free WiFi with two bedrooms one with a double bed & the other with bunk-bed. The bunk bed contain a single bed on top & a double bed underneath. Max of 5 guest accommodation.

Shamrock Reeks Apartment is a new bright modern recently decorated space set in the Black Valley at the foot of McGuillycuddys Reeks.The Kerry Way walking route passes our door. It is an ideal location for people who love to explore the outdoors with several walks including The Gap Of Dunloe , Upper Lake of Killarney, Purple Mountains, The Kerry way and the Black Valley all accessibly from the apartment.It is situated on our farm together with Shamrock Farmhouse and Shamrock Cottage.

The stone cottage which is over 250 years old has been recently renovated and retains its traditional style: stone and white-washed walls, inglenook fireplace with wood burning stove. There are also modern conveniences: heating, Wifi, TV with Netflix and fully equipped kitchen. Downstairs there is an open-plan kitchen, dining and living area with a vaulted ceiling and the bathroom. Upstairs is a cosy double bedroom. Outside guests have their own patio and garden area with seating

My space is ideal for couples and the solo traveler alike. My Studio apartment is attached to my home (a traditional Irish farmhouse) . We are surrounded by the most spectacular mountains on 3 sides and to the front it opens up to the beautiful Derriana lake. When you look out the front window of my studio you will be greeted by the lake and see Waterville in the distance. I am situated about 20 minutes from the village of Waterville and about 20 minutes from the town of Cahersiveen.
