Charming Hillside Country Home

This beautiful mid-century house was designed and built by my father. My husband’s parents, Amy and Bob, bought it from my parents’ estate and renovated it. It is filled with light, books and original art. Being inside feels like being outside. It is furnished much as it was when my in-laws moved out, with many of Amy’s paintings. It is not a new or fancy house, but it is authentic and quite a splendid example of mid-century architecture! I hope that you love it as much as I love to share it!

Our space is in a small but fantastic town, perfect for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers. Rensselaer's unique art scene is renowned; check out over two dozen murals that grace our revitalized downtown. Play disc golf at Brookside Park-we have discs for guests' use! Our listing fee is what it is-no separate "cleaning fee." We'll always leave you with homebaked goodies, & make sure there are farm fresh eggs in the fridge. Tiny Home on Organic Veggie Farm

Place yourself right in the beauty of the land and nature in this cozy tiny home at Perkins' Good Earth Farm. The tiny home has a loft bedroom, bathroom with shower and composting toilet, kitchen, sitting area, and deck. You'll be surrounded by organic vegetable fields, 11 acres of woods, walking trails--and within perfect view of both the sunrise and sunset. You'll also have easy access to our farm store where you'll find fresh fruits & veggies, homemade soups & salads and so much more.

Wren House in the Woods

This is a lovely private guest house in the woods along a stream Main bedroom has queen bed. Loft has 2 twins. Full private bath with large step in shower. The lighted screened porch and open deck sit above the west creek near the banks of the Middlefork River -- enjoy nature at its midwestern best. Cabin by the Creek

This little cabin sits on the creek side with a deck overlooking the creek. You will have a woods on one side, and farm animals on the other. It is as peaceful as it gets. Enjoy the feeling and atmosphere of camping with a crackling fire in the fire pit, enjoy a s'more or 2, & a cozy queen bed to sleep in at night. It has a loft that can fit an older child or preteen to sleep. If you love camping and farm animals this is the place for you. It’s the peace you have been looking for!

The Loft at Virgie

You don't have to be born in a barn to vacation in one. Trade in the city for millions of stars in the night sky! As you enter thru the French doors you will be greeted by an open concept room decorated with a barn/industrial motif. Knotty pine car-siding and galvanized steel, wood floors along with a reclining leather couch and love seat fill the room A full kitchen with granite counter tops await you. There is plenty of natural lighting for the evenings.

The historic Rock House is full of the character and charm of a classically-styled bungalow — window seats, a rock fireplace, and artfully designed living areas. Furnished for comfort, certain to charm. Guests can enjoy relaxing with cocktails, cooking in a fully furnished kitchen, or using a tandem bike to explore the neighborhood. Fido is welcome too. This two bedroom, one bath, home offers all the modern amenities for a comfortable stay.

This lakeside retreat is made for couples craving a slow, quiet escape: private dome, hot tub, fire pit, kayaks, and a 20 minute drive to Indiana Dunes National Park. Your private backyard opens onto Long Lake, with public access for kayaking and swimming a short walk away (the dock next door belongs to our neighbors).

At Sparkling Springs Cabin you can enjoy picturesque views, serene waters, and access to an abundance of outdoor activities. Our little slice of heaven is situated privately across the road from Vermilion County's own Mountain Bike destination, the Kickapoo Mountain Bike Trails.
