Take it easy at this unique getaway. Spend your days hiking the backyard trails (25 acres behind the house!), swimming or paddle boarding on the lake with a private dock (lake is a 2 minute walk down the driveway!), or traveling to near by coastal towns like Bar Harbor (Bucksport was voted #1 small coastal town in USA!). For dinner, stop by one of the lobster shacks just down the road to bring home your fresh Maine lobster! Come and disconnect (or stay connected if you’re working remotely!).

Luna Cottage, located on the West Branch of the Penobscot River on Verona Island, offers a serene get-a-way while being only a short distance from some of Maine's best-known coastal towns & vacation destinations. Take day trips or just stay & relax! The town of Bucksport is just across the river and is in a renaissance after the closing of its paper mill. New businesses are developing along Main St. Maybe you'll even decide to live here! I REQUIRE GUESTS TO BE FULLY VACCINATED FOR COVID.

My Blue Heaven

The cabin is totally renovated with new appliances. Very cute and cozy, perfect for couples looking for a romantic get away. Jenkins Beach is closed for renovations this summer but you can still rent/launch boats there for a small fee. The cabin has WiFi and two TV’s, one has Apple TV, the other has streaming services as well and both have DVD players. Our cabin is not childproof, so not suitable for children under 5. Please look closely at the pictures if you’re bringing a small child.

Also a beautiful 45 to 60 minutes ride down Coastal Route 1, brings you to places like Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor, Camden, Rockport, & Rockland and many more.

The Town of Bucksport boast a rich historical culture including the buildings, There is the water front with beautiful walking path and history placards for your enjoyment. most shops are within walking distance, the grocery story is a 2 min drive also gas stations and 24 hrs. store Don't forget the Dairy Port for your favorite ice cream or shake. There are several eateries in the area as well.
