It provides animals food, water, cover, and places to raise young. Enjoy the wildlife, but never approach them. Please note: Lake Buchanan is NOT a constant level lake and the water level will fluctuate with rain or drought. The nearest boat ramp is at Burnet County Park, about 6.4 miles (11 minutes) from the house. It is free to access. The dock is most suitable for shallow-bottom fishing boats. There are many places to explore in the area! Private with stunning views, this beautifully refurbished 1950’s A-frame on Lake LBJ is the perfect getaway. Enjoy the wildlife and peaceful setting from the back deck & private dock. Guest reports 3/26: Regular nightcrawlers (not green) worked for sunfish and largemouth bass. Chicken liver caught catfish. The white bass were hitting artificial crank baits You will likely not see another person unless you go to nearby state parks or wineries or to town for antiquing. Canoe & gear provided!
