The Old Barn, Buxton - A Dream Come True

It's rare to find a place that's both historic and modern. It has been my dream to renovate the unique and private barn at our Grade 2 family home and finally it has happened! I would love to share it with you. Ours is one of the oldest houses in Buxton dating back to the seventeenth century and was once a coaching stop on the medieval road to London. It is now a boutique property set near the common, ideally situated to explore the Peak District yet just a short walk into the town centre.

Generally under 16’s (less infants) don’t stay. Beautiful 1876 house, next to owners home, located by tranquil cricket ground, Devonshire Dome, Spa, Opera House and Pavilion Gardens. Light, airy lounge with large windows overlooks lawn and, well equipped kitchen/dining area enables breakfast before exploring Peak District. Upstairs a spacious landing offers seating, 4 en-suite TV bedrooms sleeping 9 with 2 zip/link beds enabling flexible sleeping. The top floor provides an additional TV lounge.

The Burrows is a self-contained garden flat tucked away on a private back road in the heart of Buxton. It has its own private entrance and garden (5 steps down) with an off-road parking space for a small car. A deceptively spacious bolthole the flat has one large bedroom with a kingsize bed, bathroom with bath and shower, a library and study area, a light and airy living room, and a recently upgraded kitchen. The lanes are lined with pretty sandstone cottages and an idyllic ford runs through the cobbled street below the cottage and a great country pub is round the corner. This cosy hideaway is an ideal couples escape featuring a stunning bedroom with vaulted beamed ceiling and luxury features throughout. It has a boutique hotel feel in rural heaven.

Located 3 miles from the town centre of Buxton our comfortable house has lovely views, is perfectly placed for all things Peak District, be it walking, or cycling. There's a a lovely bookstore café at the end of the road & the local pub The Parks Inn is a mile walk away. The house is a short drive into Buxton town centre for shops, bars, theatre & cinema or a little further to Bakewell. our pet friendly house has an enclosed garden & lockable bike shed with bike / dog washing facilities.

The Bakehouse Cottage In Buxton

This quirky cottage was once an old bakery known as “The Pies” this building has undergone major renovations over the years and recently we decided to share this beautiful cottage with everyone. Located just off Buxton market place down a hidden cobbled street you get the peace and quiet but in walking distance of everything you require. There are two bedrooms, a bathroom open plan living, dining, kitchen area, plus a small flagged area if you would like to sit out with a glass of wine.

Smithy Bungalow, private parking included, Buxton.

Smithy Bungalow is in central Buxton, with private parking. Check in 3PM, check out 12PM. Designed for 2 but can sleep 4 people; the bedroom has a king bed with an en suite and the lounge has a double sofa bed with a toilet and sink in the utility room serving the lounge. Dogs are welcome; we just ask that guests keep them off the beds and sofas. Bed linen, towels, cooking utensils plus some basic cleaning and cooking condiments provided but no toiletries for environmental reasons.
