Stop at the gas station to fill up and grab snacks and ice, have breakfast at the Diner, and then head to the trails. After a days ride stop for dinner in town. You won’t forget your adorable little “boat house” vaca! THE HOUSE IS FLOATING ON THE WATER & CAN ONLY BE REACHED BY WATER. You must either bring your own boat OR kayak OR rent a pontoon boat. Shore access can be via our SUP/kayaks once at the house. Please note there is no wifi. Lots of room to lay your heads, shower/change, and cook meals. All day water fun outside with kayaks, lily pad, & floats. Located at Powell Valley Marina in LaFolette! QUIET HOURS 10pm-8am

Historic year-round cabin along lakeshore w/dock

The lake home was built in the early 1930's to house the engineers constructing the entire TVA (Tennessee Valley Authority) system that created dams and hydro-electric power throughout the region. It also provided jobs that helped with employment during the Great Depression. A wonderful addition we made recently was a dock, which remains in the water from sometime in March until late October. Please note this is an old, quaint home. It has its quirks.

Come relax on the banks of the Cumberland River at the Summer Shoals. Your off-grid (NO WATER,ELECTRIC, AC, heat OR BEDDING) cabin camping experience will include a small sleeping cabin, picnic table, fire ring and a charcoal grill. You will need flashlights, BEDDING, charcoal and of course a cooler. Our property is surrounded by the Daniel Boone National Forest. We offer superior small mouth fly fishing water.
