Burgdorf Castle, a heritage site of national significance, has stood sentinel on the rocks above the Emme river for more than 800 years. After the castle had been exposed to many different situations, it was opened in the spring of 2020 as a unique place for encounters: a «castle for everyone» and open to the public. The museum provides a variety of educational offers for schools and has been complemented with a wedding chamber, our youth hostel and a restaurant. The restaurant is closed.

Spacious apartment in a 15th-century castle, located on the middle floor of the donjon. Access requires climbing several flights of stairs — the apartment is on the third floor and not suitable for guests with mobility issues. It features four bedrooms, beautiful lake views, and plenty of historic charm. Guests can enjoy access to the shared terrace with panoramic views. Please note that occasional spiders may appear — part of the authentic atmosphere of the medieval castle.

Cozy apartment in a 15th-century castle with one bedroom and a living room separated by a kitchen area. Please note that access to the bathroom is through the bedroom, which may be less convenient for guests sleeping in the living room. The apartment is on the ground floor with a partial lake view and easy access — no stairs. Guests can enjoy the shared terrace nearby. Occasional spiders may appear, as the castle preserves its authentic historic character.

Montreux Castle - Château du Châtelard

Bright studio in a 15th-century castle — located on a flat floor with no stairs. One open room combines the bedroom and living area with a comfortable bed and sofa (non-convertible), suitable for up to three guests. The studio has a beautiful bathroom and a modern kitchen. No lake view, but plenty of natural light. Guests have access to a shared terrace nearby. Please note that occasional spiders may appear — part of the castle’s authentic character.

Spacious apartment in a 15th-century castle — the main residence of the estate. It features four bedrooms and the castle’s crown jewel: a magnificent historic library with carved wooden details. The apartment offers a vast living space, panoramic lake views from several rooms, a small private balcony, and access to a shared terrace. Please note, as in any ancient castle, occasional spiders may appear — part of its authentic medieval charm.
