You can enjoy the fire pit while watching the stars, with no distractions from neighbors, traffic, or lights. You can enjoy catch & release fishing from the bank

Located in heart of Shawnee National Forest, Bald Knob Wilderness and River To River Trail , is a former orchard turned cozy hiker/biker haven. Just 2 miles down the road from Bald Knob Cross of Peace. This studio style cabin was recently renovated and has a fully functioning kitchen. Bald Knob Cabin is the ideal location to unplug and put your feet up after a long day hiking trails or traveling the Shawnee Wine Trail that flows through the cozy, inviting town of Alto Pass.

Rusted Route Farms is a history rich farm that is nestled in the country. Originally built as a homestead, it boasts a spring fed pond, creek, a 1900's Sears Crafted Barn now used for weddings and events. A porch laced around its front. The Rest Area Lodge was built new in 2022 to serve outdoor enthusiasts visiting Southern Illinois for a variety of outdoor activities. The Lodge is located centrally to a lot of fun things to do and features ample room for your traveling party. Guests may enjoy relaxing inside or outside the Lodge as there are a variety of leisure areas to unwind at the end of the day. The Lodge features three bedrooms, six beds and two bathrooms.
