Pop’s Country Cabin is a small remote cabin that sits 1/2mile off the road above a 5 acre lake on 77 acres of private land. The view from the front porch is amazing! You can sit, unwind, and watch the wildlife with a distant view of Bald Knob Cross. The cabin sits in the heart of Shawnee National Forrest and the Southern IL wine trail. You can enjoy the fire pit while watching the stars, with no distractions from neighbors, traffic, or lights. You can enjoy catch & release fishing from the bank

It is 600 sq ft, 2BR, 1BA, loft area, furnished with W/D, big flat screen TV, coffee bar, Blackstone, memory foam mattresses. There is an association dock area which will require a waiver for a dock on the lake with kayaks. Come enjoy the water or visit nearby Shawnee Wine Trail, Ferne Clyffe State Park, hunting, fishing and much more. Located 6.5 miles off I-24.

Reconnect with nature at our unique treehouse Aframe stay near ALL of the hiking. Just minutes from downtown Marion, IL. Sporting a 7ft tube slide, sleek black exterior and natural wood tones and lighting. The Blonde is small and mighty with an airy studio feel but packed with all of the necessities of a full sized home. This stay also includes its very own nature trail! Come ready to see lots of wildlife and explore Southern Illinois! Our 2 treehouses are secluded but do share a property!

Tiny House on the lake, also called cabin #4

The tiny house is on the edge of a 4 acre pond. Full mattress in a loft, stairs and a handrail to get up, it's a bit over 5 feet for headroom, please note, a loft bed is not for everyone. Cabin is in the woods with bugs, poison ivy, and animals. There are all sorts of creatures swimming in the pond below, along w/ fish and turtles. Fishing is catch and release. If you want to be in a kind of raw nature setting without landscaping, tom, your host, will guide you in this experience.

This lake cabin is also located near the wine trails and is the perfect getaway to enjoy the lake amenities, hunting, fishing, zip lining, rock climbing, hiking, biking, and enjoying nature at its finest. Our cabin is just minutes away from the Trail of Tears, Dixon Springs State Park, the delicious Chocolate Factory, the towns of Golconda, Metropolis, and the bigger city of Paducah. NEW IN OCTOBER 2021: We have installed high-speed fiber optic WiFi to the cabin.
