Ros cottage was lovingly created and built by its only owner twenty years ago with a design that makes you believe its been there forever. While it looks old and traditional, it is equipped with all the modern amenities one could ever want. Nestled atop a hillside and overlooking the Irish sea and Carlingford Lough, this is a haven for family , or individuals who want to get away from “ the madding crowd “ and live as one with nature. With breathtaking and uninterrupted views over the sea towards the Mourne Mountains , Ros Cottage is a one off and has to be seen to be believed. This family home is within two miles of the medieval village of Carlingford and the home of some of the finest restaurants and bars on the North East coast. Enjoy the excellent quality food and service with the famous locally grown Carlingford oysters washed down with locally brewed beers. Take the local fifteen minute ferry ride and you will arrive at the Royal County Down golf club. Should you prefer things to be a little less hectic , take one of the many hiking trails just outside your back door, or retire to the sun room to read and relax. Alternatively , just meander through the beautifully matured Ros Cottage garden all lovingly planted by the owner. This is a very unique and beautiful home with an abundance of character. It is extremely well appointed with full open plan kitchen, dining room, sun room , utility room and three bedrooms. A quirky property with two double bedrooms, open plan living/dining with a wood burning stove and fully equipped kitchen. The equine theme is evident in the design. There's a private south facing garden with access to all of our site with panoramic views over Co Down. Off road parking. Horses and dogs welcome.

Roseanne's Seaside Cottage

A traditional Irish cottage right on the seashore. You can't get closer to the sea than this! Situated in Whitestown about 5km from the busy village of Carlingford with shops, traditional Irish music pubs and choice of excellent restaurants and activities. Inside has a newly renovated interior, wood burning stove and is snug all year round with central heating. Fall asleep to the sound of the waves, explore the beach every day, walk the coastline, and drop into the infamous Lily Finnegans Pub.

Unwind in the hot tub soaking in the dramatic view of the Mourne Mountains. Inside, relax in front of a cosy wood burning stove. Lively Newcastle town, with its many shops, cafes, bars and restaurants is less than 5 minutes drive away. Other attractions close by are Murlough Beach, Castlewellan forest Park & many walking, hiking & cycling trails.

Seascape

Seascape is situated in the picturesque hamlet of Greencastle. Wake up to the undisturbed views of Carlingford Lough. A family owned house on a working farm, recently refurbished to give the perfect balance of old and new. A quiet area but with Carlingford Lough Ferry virtually on your doorstep livelier locations are a short commute. Cranfield's blue flag beach is a mere stroll away. Golfing, fishing, walking, cycling and many more activities are all within a thirty minute drive.

Only 5 minutes walk is the village of Kircubbin, where there are pubs, restaurants and a supermarket. With the water so close, wake up to the sounds, views & smell of the sea.

Bobby's Cottage Omeath is a beautiful 2 bedroom house, on a quiet lane at the foot of Slieve Foy mountain, only 5min walk to Omeath Village or 10 minute car/taxi journey to the bustling village of Carlingford, with its array of pubs and restaurants. It is set in a beautiful tranquil location with ample car parking. Its a perfect base to enjoy the many walking trails the area has to offer or just kick back and relax and enjoy the picturesque surroundings.

Sitting on the shores of the Irish Sea, Keeper’s Cottage provides a comfortable base from which to walk, beachcomb, birdwatch and explore. Close to the villages of Portaferry, Cloughey and Strangford, the area is rich in wildlife and heritage. Or just relax by the fire and soak up the magic of this unique place. Our other cottage, which is immediately adjacent, sleeps 4 and people often rent the two properties together for larger groups.
