River House with private access to the River

Casa do Rio Alva is a very special place with private access to the river! Our country house is located in the village of Secarias in the heart of the nature of central Portugal, 4 km from the village of Arganil and 55 km from the city of Coimbra. Exploring the Alva River from our home is a unique experience, where the following stand out: avocets, bees, kingfishers, crows, swallows, foxes, field mice, frogs, toads and snakes, numerous fish such as bass, bogas and carp, but also trout and eels.

Casa dos Cavalos, surrounded by nature

As seen in Channel 4’s “A New Life in the Sun” Series 6 Episodes 16, 17 and 18, Casa dos Cavalos is a Detached 2 bed cottage with swimming pool & optional detached ensuite annex. It is set in 2.5 acres of olive groves, fruit trees & forest, an extremely peaceful setting surrounded by nature. Sertã is a hidden gem in central Portugal, set amongst river valleys, rolling hills, forests & pretty villages. There are many hiking trails & river beaches in the area around River Zezere. A Casa Aurora (CA) é uma antiga habitação familiar recentemente remodelada. Ao passear pela CA vai cruzar-se com alguns retratos da família da Aurora e com alguns objetos em "lata" que sussurram a história da antiga latoaria do João que em tempos habitou a cave. Tal como uma boa casa de família, a CA recebe muita gente nos seus 4 quartos com cama de casal, na sala com sofá-cama, na cozinha equipada, nos 2 WC e ainda na fantástica churrasqueira e forno a lenha no jardim! House with open-plan lounge and kitchen, 2 bedrooms - one with a double bed on the ground floor, the other with 2 single beds on the upper floor, and 1 bathroom. It has heaters in the bedrooms, air conditioning in the living room. The living room has a fireplace. The stairs to the second bedroom are Santos Dumont stairs: sloping, with each step going back on the side that won't be used for the ascent). Among the services we offer is breakfast, which is optional (8€ a day, per person).

Our authentically renovated, stone village house is located in the quiet and friendly village of Andorinha in Central Portugal. We created a modern space with as much comfort as possible yet keeping the eccentricity of the house. Make sure you take advantage of the wood burning hot tub and enjoy a few hours soaking, while sipping on a nice glass of wine. IMPORTANT TO KNOW: The downstairs large bedroom is accessed externally through the front courtyard NOT from inside the house.

Relax at Casa de Xisto, located in a village in Góis, the motorcycle capital. The house features 1 bedroom with a double bed and a “click” sofa bed, accommodating up to 3 people. It includes fiber TV, Wi-Fi, minibar, a fully equipped kitchen, and a bathroom with a hairdryer. Washing machine available in the laundry room. Stone immersion pool naturally heated by the sun. In the garden, armchairs, tables, and a barbecue area. Just 60 km from Coimbra and 170 km from Porto.

House of Schist in the center of Portugal

Three schist houses being restored at the village of Cunqueiros, in the municipality of Proença-a-Nova, form the Casas da Encosta project. Here it’s possible to relive the life history and culture of the region’s people in the comfort of a typical Portuguese village. According to the owner, Nuno Caldeira, the houses are being restored following the local construction tradition where schist, clay and wood are featured. One of them, Casa da Lagariça, has already opened.

This small granite house is the result of merging the original farmhouse with an old wine cellar. Consisting of a spacious room, with fire-stove, kitchenette and 2 single beds, a large double bedroom with a baby cot, with an overhead mezzanine, with 1 double bed, and one full toilet, plus an outside toilet, "Casa do Lagar" comfortably accommodates 2 adults and 4 to 2 teenagers/children. 1 extra travel cot can be added for a baby.
