River House with private access to the River

Casa do Rio Alva is a very special place with private access to the river! Our country house is located in the village of Secarias in the heart of the nature of central Portugal, 4 km from the village of Arganil and 55 km from the city of Coimbra. Exploring the Alva River from our home is a unique experience, where the following stand out: avocets, bees, kingfishers, crows, swallows, foxes, field mice, frogs, toads and snakes, numerous fish such as bass, bogas and carp, but also trout and eels.

CASA AURORA

A Casa Aurora (CA) é uma antiga habitação familiar recentemente remodelada. Ao passear pela CA vai cruzar-se com alguns retratos da família da Aurora e com alguns objetos em "lata" que sussurram a história da antiga latoaria do João que em tempos habitou a cave. Tal como uma boa casa de família, a CA recebe muita gente nos seus 4 quartos com cama de casal, na sala com sofá-cama, na cozinha equipada, nos 2 WC e ainda na fantástica churrasqueira e forno a lenha no jardim! House with open-plan lounge and kitchen, 2 bedrooms - one with a double bed on the ground floor, the other with 2 single beds on the upper floor, and 1 bathroom. It has heaters in the bedrooms, air conditioning in the living room. The living room has a fireplace. The stairs to the second bedroom are Santos Dumont stairs: sloping, with each step going back on the side that won't be used for the ascent). Among the services we offer is breakfast, which is optional (8€ a day, per person).

A casa situa-se a 30kms da cidade de Coimbra, a 45kms da serra da Estrela e a 15 kms do Bussaco. Estamos situados a 15 min de Vila Nova de Poiares, Mortágua, Lousa e Arganil. Penacova sede do nosso concelho fica a 10 min, poderá visitar a pérgula e o Penedo de Castro com vistas únicas sobre o rio Mondego, oferece ainda diversos percursos pedestres. Em Lorvão poderá degustar o seu ex-libris, a nevada e o pastel de Lorvão. A casa fica situada entre 2 praias fluviais Vimieiro e Cornicovo

Casa zen do rio est un Logement Local Agrotourisme, nous y vivons au rythme des saisons. La propriété est située dans le centre du pays. La maison d'hôtes a deux étages, chacun avec son propre espace indépendant pour 4 personnes, il y a 2 chambres avec leur propre salle de bain et 2 salons - cuisines, ainsi que des terrasses avec vue sur le lac. Située dans les méandres de la rivière Zêzere, classée Géoparc par l'Unesco; à seulement 10 mn de la N2 et de l'IC8 et du Barrage de Cabril.

Come and enoy the early autumn days with the rich changing of colours in the centre of Portugal. Get the peace and quiet of the countryside amidst forest lanes with the towns of Pedrogao Grande and Figueiro dos Vinhos with restaurants, supermarkets and shops about 9 - 11 kms away. The Barragem do Cabril, with an outdoor pizza restaurant (summer) and two well known river beaches are in close proximity. There is a local cafe and mini-market about 300 metres from Chale Pomba.

Relax at Casa de Xisto, located in a village in Góis, the motorcycle capital. The house features 1 bedroom with a double bed and a “click” sofa bed, accommodating up to 3 people. It includes fiber TV, Wi-Fi, minibar, a fully equipped kitchen, and a bathroom with a hairdryer. Washing machine available in the laundry room. Stone immersion pool naturally heated by the sun. In the garden, armchairs, tables, and a barbecue area. Just 60 km from Coimbra and 170 km from Porto.

House of Schist in the center of Portugal

Three schist houses being restored at the village of Cunqueiros, in the municipality of Proença-a-Nova, form the Casas da Encosta project. Here it’s possible to relive the life history and culture of the region’s people in the comfort of a typical Portuguese village. According to the owner, Nuno Caldeira, the houses are being restored following the local construction tradition where schist, clay and wood are featured. One of them, Casa da Lagariça, has already opened.

Authentically renovated village house

Our authentically renovated, stone village house is located in the quiet and friendly village of Andorinha in Central Portugal. We created a modern space with as much comfort as possible yet keeping the eccentricity of the house. Make sure you take advantage of the wood burning hot tub and enjoy a few hours soaking, while sipping on a nice glass of wine. IMPORTANT TO KNOW: The downstairs large bedroom has access through the front courtyard NOT inside the house.
