The Corner Haus

The “Corner House” was built in 1954 by my parents, LeRoy and Colleen Bohnert, who made it their home for 63 years. Their home was filled with love and laughter and was a magnet for the neighborhood kids to play. My parents loved to entertain family and friends. My mother always had homemade cookies for to serve the guests. My husband and I remodeled the house in 2018. The house has two bedrooms, one bath, a screened porch which is perfect for morning coffee or that evening glass of wine.

Glass walls open to the wooded slopes of Big Hill, a ridge separating the Pedernales and Guadalupe watersheds halfway between Comfort and Fredericksburg. A place to unplug, and reconnect.

Star gazing and sitting on our beautiful pavillion while you grill is only one of the reasons why you should book with us. Enjoy the homemade cookies and treats left by the host, Judi, as a welcome gift with a cup of coffee in the mornings at the stone firepit. "So peacefull" is the feedback from past guests. Wander the park like property and hike to the very top of our own little mountain and see for miles. Roast marshmallows over the firepit on starry nights. Rest-Relax-Return!

Although the cabins are only 10 miles from town, guests feel as if they are in another world; a world of pure Texas Hill Country! Perfectly situated 5 minutes to Comfort, 25 to Kerrville, 25 to Fredericksburg & 20 to Boerne: Great for taking advantage of all the dining, shopping and attractions in the hill country. Also an especially good location for bicyclists & motorcyclists. One small house-trained dog that remains leashed while outdoors is welcome.
