The Cart House

The Cart House is ground floor, with ramp up to the front door and has no steps inside the property. It has an open plan living area, including a kitchen which is fully equipped with cooker, fridge, freezer, microwave, dishwasher and washer/dryer. The dining area has a dining table which comfortably seats four. The lounge area has a sofa and armchair, a dvd player, a televison with Freeview. The master bedroom has a king size bed which can unzip into two twin beds, and a wardrobe. The second bedroom has a single bed. The bathroom is a wet room, with spacious shower. Parking is available in the courtyard for tenants use. Although this property does not have a garden, there is a table and chairs outside the front door in the courtyard.. £20 worth of electricity is included in the rental for this property. Electricity cards are available to purchase if more electricity is required. Heating by electric radiators. There is a fishing lake on site, and arrangements can be made to use this. there is also a Watermill on site, Ford End Watermill. This little mill, recorded in 1616 but certainly very much older, was in use until 1963. Restored by volunteers, and now maintained and run by Ford End Watermill Society, it is the only remaining working watermill in Buckinghamshire with original machinery. It retains all the atmosphere of a small farm mill of the late 1800`s. An unusual feature is the sheepwash in the tailrace below the mill. Washing made the fleece easier to shear and increased its value. Stoneground wholemeal flour is on sale during milling demonstrations.

This self contained studio is 5 mins drive from M1. It is 10-15 mins walk from the train station to central London in 30 mins. Luton airport is 10 minutes drive & Heathrow is 45 minutes. L&D Hospital is 5 minutes walk. It has its own access separate to the main house. It’s ideal for short stay travellers. Maximum occupancy is 2 guests. It’s not suitable for children. Due to age of the painting, there are few spots on the walls. WE DO NOT ALLOW GUESTS TO USE OUR ADDRESS FOR MAIL OR DELIVERIES.
