A relaxing and peaceful lodge set in the grounds of a 200-year-old farmhouse in over 11 acres of orchard and meadow. L'oume Lodge sits at the edge of a meadow and has a private gated entrance and parking. There is a private terrace with a built-in BBQ and garden, beyond which is the gated shared pool area The pool is 6 x 12 m with a constant depth of 1.25 m and a shallow side pool for young children. There's also a pool house/summer kitchen, BBQ and wisteria-covered eating area at the pool.

This entire cottage is nestled in the heart of the charming village of Saint Angeau, within walking distance of supermarkets, and a pharmacy. Ideally located, it is just a 25-minute drive from the historic city of Angoulême, known for its vibrant restaurants and bars. The stunning châteaux of Rochefoucauld and Verteuil-sur-Charente are also just a short drive away."

Ma Jolie Petite Maison

Set in the heart of Verteuil a petite citie de caractere in the Charente we welcome you to Ma jolie petite maison, a one double bedroomed gite that sleeps 4. The building is over 200 years old and has been completely refurbished in 2024. With exposed stone walls and original fireplaces, lit by vintage French chandeliers and tasteful wall lights, the gite is both cosy and comfortable. During your stay you will have exclusive use of the heated swimming pool and a large Moroccan style barn.

L'appartement - a self-contained property in the south wing, offers spacious chic accommodation on the ground floor - all rooms take in views of the courtyard & the stunning parc down towards the old water mill & the river Mortier. Enjoy outdoor living in a private space outside the gîte or a sundowner whilst lounging on the decked area.

Le Petit Secret

We welcome you to our "Maison du Gardien" ( The Caretaker’s House) a 19th Century distiller's house which has been lovingly renovated to create a place of contemporary design, contemplation and relaxation. Located next to our own home you can enjoy an evening meal on your own private terrace but also get the use of our pool, gym, bikes and parking on our gated property. The two bedroom house is light and airy with beautiful views over our garden which reaches down to the river Charente.

The Walnut tree.

Forget your worries in this spacious and serene space. The walnut tree is our beautiful, comfortable gite. Look out the window and enjoy the beautiful surroundings and nature this area of the Dordogne has to offer. Keep an eye out for deer, owls, red squirrels and many more. We are directly opposite the river beach of Saint Aulaye and on the edge of this historic old village. Wander up the hill to the boulangerie, shops and weekly market. Launderette facilities available in the village.
