The Stone House

The Stone House is set in 24 acres of natural Tasmanian bush in the Arthur Pieman Reserve. This is in the pristine Tarkine Wilderness area. The Stone House is made of stone, beautiful timber and earth rammed walls. We have made a rough track around our block, please explore. The grasslands are home to Bennetts Wallabies, pademelons, tassie devils, wombats, quolls and possums as well as the magnificent wedge tailed and sea Eagles. The coast is wild and untamed and ready to be explored.

You will feel right at home in this cosy, two bedroom cottage situated on a tidal estuary. Only 5-10 minutes' walk to the river and beach. Fully equipped kitchen and two heating options. Easy day trip to Stanley Village or the Tarkine. Pick seasonal herbs and vegies from the garden. Note: Sleeps 4 with a queen bed and a double bunk. Shop is within walking distance and the Rocky Cape Tavern serves excellent meals. Traffic noise is heavy through the week. No big supermarkets close by!

Then ya could pour a drink at our Gin Bar, light the fire in the “man cave” and relax while the sausages burn on the bbq. Kids have a sandpit, basketball, boardgames.
